The sociology program provides sociology majors with the opportunity to focus their education towards a particular area. It is our hope that students make their degrees special to their own goals in interests, and that they become better prepared for careers and graduate/professional programs after completing their Bachelor’s degrees.
As long as you plan your degree plan carefully, the pursuit of a major track should not cause you to take any coursework beyond the 120 hours required to graduate.
The SOCI major tracks offered by the department include the following:
- Community Studies
- Criminology and Criminal Justice
- Health Care
- Legal Studies
- Non-Profit Social Services
- Organizational Management and Marketing
- Global Sociology
- Sociology of Gender
- Sociology of Race and Ethnicity
